Maa…

This is something I wrote long back when Maasa was still with me and I had brought her from the village to stay with me as she was alone there and not keeping well.

Itne pyaar se Maa ne maathe ko sehlaaya hai,
Lagta hai bas sukoon ka ab mere sar pe saaya hai,
Barson baad dil-e-shorida mein sannata chhaya hai,
Jaise ujdi basti mein koi phirse rehne aaya hai.
Tere chehre ki jhuriyon ko dekh ke aankhein bhar aayi hain,
Sochta hoon ke zindagi ne kaisa tera saath nibhaya hai,
Namm-roshan yeh teri aankhein khush hai mujhko chhune se,
Phir seene se laga ke tune kyon yeh ashq bahaya hai.
Maatha mera choom ke tune rooh ko meri dho dala hai,
Teri dua ne ab tak meri zindagi ka deep jalaya hai,
Tere balon mein hai safedi aur mere chehre par khushi hai,
Tune jisko khoon se seenchha wo paudha lehraayaa hai,
Dekh maa tera betaa aaj apne paav pad khada hai,
Lekin tune jo hai gawaaya kab maine woh kamaya hai,
Kya aukaat kisi ki ke mamta ka mol laga paye?
Jab khuda ne jannat ko tere pairon ke neeche dabaya hai.

Dil-e-shorida = Heart full of noises.
Namm-roshan = Less bright.
